About particpiatory

We are facing the problem of social injustice. We must unite and promote change. We need to think and act in different ways, because we face many problems. They divide our community. We need to build unity. This is the origin of the Participitary Collective for Hull and East Riding.

In Hull, there have been many initiatives that try to work in a new way, and we hope to bring these initiatives together to form a participatory collective.

In 2020, the Wellcome Trust funded the British Science Association (BSA) to jointly design and implement a program to reach the often neglected grassroots communities.

We should criticise constructively and with empathy to promote real change. This kind of change must listen to the voices of all strata of society, covering different groups and local existing communities.

Goal: Build a platform that combines online and offline, so that friends in Hull City and East Yorkshire (such as people from creative funds and other projects) can work together, change the current less reasonable system and culture, and make the community better.

Core concept: The solution to the problem must involve more people and institutions. The concept is:Nothing about us, without us, isfor us!

Starting from Hull City and East Yorkshire, this cooperation method will be gradually extended to the whole region, hoping that various institutions will be more fair and just when dealing with citizens in the future.

They are all groups rooted in the community, and the same thing is that they want to help others together. What we can do is help them design a new website and logo to achieve this. They want to be able to speak for people and collaborate with each other.

There are some of what they doing.
